Ok my mix is my greatest challenge to start this thread. I currently have KRK RP8s and a pair of beyerdynamic dt 770s. I also have the KRKs setup in my small apartment home until at least the end of this summer. My audio interface is a tascam us-122l and I mix on Fl studio (I make instrumentals). Specifically speaking, my low end bass and kicks would be the number one thing I would like to work on but I also have to consider the factor that I MUST USE HEADPHONES in the apartment. So I ask you in advance to not give me a reply that advises me to not use them, because I DONT HAVE A CHOICE. even rp5s would be a little too much. With that being said I have a budget around 300 minimum maybe 400 and I am asking for headphone suggestions (yes, for mixing purposes) because Im about tired of these beyerdynamics (theyre old n shot anyways). Please no beats by dre suggestions either. I will not pay 300 for headphones that are worse than some shitty ones I have now.

I've used Sony MDR 7506's for mixing but only for live events when I don't have a choice but for a different reason than you have. They have worked great for what I have used them for and that's all I can really think of right now from my personal experience. I know Sennheiser and Audio-Technica make some decent headphones, but I would recommend trying various pairs of headphones out yourself by listening to some music or other audio that you know well.
