Here’s the thing...I corresponded with the seller and passed because a lot of the tape is 931, which is digital tape, and then much of the rest is sticky-prone.

Interesting. I was thinking more in terms of tossing the mystery tape, and using just the reels. If my math is right that's like $3 for an empty reel. I actually did that back in the good old ebay days, an honest seller was selling Ampex 407 clearly indicated it was sticky for "practice baking reels."

If it was1/2 inch 10 inch reel size , I’d snap it up just for the reels. Totally worth it!

I think it's 1/2 and 1"

Even a few bucks for a set of screws, it's still under US$10 for an empty reel.
