I only checked out Glue. Sounds good, kind of heard that Ramones vibe. Didn't care much for the guitar tone, But It reminded me of the Ramones from when I was younger. Thanks for the post.

What a hassle. All I wanted to do was listen to your stuff.
Never mind.

Super glue. (Its late, gotta use the cans)

Very, very clean sounding recording and very tight. Good skills, but I'm not sure if I appreciate it with tune. I wanna hear it a bit more loose, ya know?

Your vocal mix during the chorus is great. In general the mix is really good.

In the chorus right before the solo there a place where you swallow the end of a "glue" in order take a breath. It happens in the first and last choruses, too, but doesn't seem as noticeable. Are you recording digital?

Is that distortion I hear on the bass? Interesting. If so, its making it hard to distinguish from the guitar. Even listening on the bass heavy headphones your bass seems well hidden.

Reminds me of the stuff I playing in high school only you are doing it much, much better. :D

Cool tune. It is kind of a pain to download that way, though. You might concider putting up somewhere like nowhereradio.com or iuma.com- both free.

Thanks

Thanks for the feedback, all.

I have the filenames changed like that because a number of my friends can't download .mp3 (rules at work). But I'm about to say phooey, they can get them at home instead. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Yes, I'm recording digitally. ntrack with some audio technica mic's. (Not even sure what model mic they are.) Guitar is all line in from my *cough* Zoom 707 *cough* pedal. Drums are an Alesis SR-16. Ibanez guitar and bass.

I put a little distortion on the bass to make it stand out, but I think that was a mistake. Thanks for confirming that.

If anyone is interested, I'll be making the tunes easier to download shortly. So feel free to check it out again. It should be straightforward mp3's. :)

Thanks again!

Yeah, I thought the guitars were line in through something. They were missing the spit and hiss of a loud amp and don't have a whole lot of dynamics.

I'm not listening now, but I remember thinking that last night. It might be that they are way distorted or overly compressed. I just remember thinking it would sound better if the guitars where a tad punchier.

About the MP3 thing. Just post both versions if you have the server space. I understand your friends wanting to DL stuff at work if they have fast connections there. You'll probably get more listens here, though, if you have a straight mp3, too. If you don't have enough server space you might check out one of the free hosting sites.

Take care,
Chris

I like your sound. Definately has that Ramones feel. But....Lets talk about the drum sound. I am assuming that was a drum machine?? I didn't hear enough fills. Also, the cymbal sounds either got messed up in the encoding of the mp3 or they are just screwy. To me they sound really really odd; kind of like glass breaking with reverb or something. Too much highs in them. Maybe try a different crash cymbal sound. On the other hand, the hihat and ride sound pretty good. Maybe put some opening in the hihat on upbeat of 4 every four bars or so. Good vocals and good punkish guitar sound. Overall nice job though!! If only you would have been making this music 20 years ago. You'd definately have beat the Ramones in sound quality.

Not bad. I think your vocals would stand out more if they were doubled and had a lot less reverb. Guitar sounds cool but maybe a little to repetitious soundwise. Add a little room verb here and there on the different tunes to change it up some.
