Hey Everyone, I need some help guys with mic choices.
I have a Tascam 424 MkII, 4 track cassette recorder-- I just got it, and I'm using it mostly to record rhythm tracks for rehearsal, and practice stuff-- nothing extensive.
I would like to mic the drums using 3 mics, (2) overhead condensers, and one mic in the bass drum. . .
But, I really don't want to spend a lot of money on mics, especially since its mostly for practice stuff, and rehearsals. But, I would like something adequate sounding-- not just garbage, . .well, maybe garbage if it has a descent sound . .
Can you guys recommend some cheaper condenser mic, that will do the trick using this type of setup.
Nay help would be appreciated. Thanks, Ray
Some mics that I have seen for a descent price are the SAMSON C05, and the BEHRINGER B-5, and even the AKG C1000s.
