Webcyan...........I just listened....I think that it sounds pretty good...the timing may be a little off but whatever.....
Here's the deal though....your initial post tells me that you really don't have any idea about how to use reverb and eq, nor do you know what they are for......Why do I say that? Because you asked us to critique reverb and eq...when at this stage of the game in song development, there is absolutely no point in applying eq techniques..........Here's why.....
Eq is a tool that allows you to separate the instruments with in a mix inorder to prevent them from trampling on each others sonic space; "mix" being the operative word in that sentence.....If you've noticed, this is not a mix......This is just one instrument.....If you didn't like the way it sounded when it came out you should not have applied eq....but in all likely hood you probably should have recorded it over until you were happy with it......At this stage of the game you should probably try messing with the knobs on your guit and amp; not EQ.......
Eq should be avoided initially and used only when needed inorder to create room for the other instruments........You can not critique eq and reverb without the context of the entire song....There is no way of knowing whether or not the reverb and eq will work in the context of the song because it is the context of the song, in itself, that dictates the eq techniques and reverb settings one chooses to use........So put some other instruments in there and then I'll tell you what I think about the reverb and eq....but until then it's pointless....
Listen I'm not trying to be hard on you at all.....I just thought that all that I have just said is worth mentioning to you.....I am also no expert...but I have spent enough time reading through the posts in this site and reading other things to know enough to tell you this......and also, quite frankly, I'm suprised that , with 300 some odd posts, you don't know enough to know that asking about eq and reverb at this stage of a song is pointless.......
And please spare me the disclaimer....for I am only trying to help you........and that's what you want right?
and btw...it sounds like it could be a great intro to something...you said you have it worked out...so lets here it...
