Same for me... Hard as hell, but a very nice challenge, and a great learning experience. And it gives me something to work with afterwards, see what good/bad things I've done, and maybe sell the recordings to some of the bands, if they sound decent.
And I get alot of compliments...

Looks like I'm doing a better job than the PA-dude used to do himself. The bands are happy with their sound, and the club doesn't have to pay me. (Hey, it was a benefit, and I'm just learning.)
I noticed another mistake: one of the recordings seems to be lost. (The VS indicated 1MB for that band, the next band played a shorter set and had >500MB... Hehe. They sucked anyway.

) And on my previous band (I left them 2 years ago), I forgot to record the backing vocals. Just some extra screaming, doesn't really matter I guess. It's hardcore, and they really have a killer sound. Just plug them in, check the drums and BANG, right on. Everytime... Hope their recordings sound good.
