I cant get AUDIO into or out the thing, right now I only use it to
give me: MMC/ASIO to get my midi tracks in sync with my HD or ADAT

Can someone tell how to rig this to get AUDIO in/out into CUBASE
I've had it so long, but never quite figured out how to do the AUDIO side. I've been doing tracks in midi, arrange them, transfer to my MDR then send back to my board via ADAT OPT (24 ch.), MIX, EQ, SAVE in AUTOMATION.

I get my work done, but I do get pissed at the $1,000.00 I spent
to NOT have it do AUDIO (it's main purpose) ALSO I USE A PC

Please someone help -- Like I said, I GET MY WORK DONE, but I'd like to know that I have used it to it's potential, it's almost like an expensive version of the Midi express XT (right now) so any help would be appreciative.

This is why I stayed in MIDI LAND, a lot easier and simplified.

I'm assuming since you have a digital board you don't plan on using the converters on the motu. That said I will give you the standard setup procedure I use with sonar.(cubase should be close enough for jazz)
1. Hook up your optical cables to the motu's ins and outs.
2.Before you launch cubase, open the motu console and adjust your settings.
44100
clock 2408 bank a optical
buffer size,start with 1024
check off enable routing
set all banks to adat
for banks A,B, +C respectively check off as many inputs as you need to use.(Don't overdo it unless you have a killa computa rig)
For banks A,B,+C set the outputs to "From Computer"for the output tracks you need.
check off enable legacy wave driver (since cubase doesn't use wdm this will allow it to use mme or asio drivers, if you loaded the asio drivers when you installed the pci 324 card).
hit ok
you can launch cubase now and profile the card to make sure it is recognizing the motu's inputs and outputs and their buffer size.
32bit left-justified is the setting in sonar.
I think the motu manual has very specific instructions for profiling the card in cubase. If you don't have your motu manual let me know and I will look it up for you.
Hope this helps, but if you already know or tried all of this and it's a driver hardware or software conflict let me know cause I've had my share of those over the years too.

Thanks

Maaaaan thank you 50 times over, just for responding, I will try that when I get home, I doubt that it'll be a driver problem.

I'll be sure to stay in contact to give you an update, ONCE AGAIN

THANKS

If you were in NY, I'd offer you a BLUE HAWAII @ BBQ's
(DAMN GOOD DRINK), think I'll go get one for the hell of it
