2008-09-05 Cad Gxl3000 $100 - ?

I know there's some GXL3000 fans here - it's the stupid buy today (Sep. 5, 2008) at MF ( http://www.musiciansfriend.com/stupid ). But again, $100 seems less stupid than we're used to - I see threads on here where folks picked it up for $70 from another stupid buy, and when folks give a street price for it in discussions, it's pretty much $100.

Again, if I didn't have a couple of ACM-583s coming on the boat, I might be jumping, but what's up over there -- are they taking smart pills?

Yep... gotta concur. I picked one up for $70 back in the Good ol' Days when MF was more stupider. It's definately worth having, even for $100, IMHO. But, you can get 'em for that off Ebay any day of the week.

I picked one for 70 buck the last time it was on a stupid sale. Its a pretty good mike. Nothing spectacular, but good.

8th Street and Front End Audio both sell this mic for $99 every day of the week. If you're ordering something else from MF anyway and were planning to buy this mic anyway, it will save you shipping. Otherwise, there's absolutely no compelling reason to buy this mic today from MF....

well, the stupid deal for today is a single EV cobalt 5, at 19.99, just half of the price of the everyday buy one get one free price of 39.99. The stupid deals have been stupid lately.
