Can it be done? I have a SB that I'd still like to use for games because it has 1/8" jack for my PC speakers. The other card is an Audiophile 24/96 but it only has RCA jacks. Can I run them both at the same time? Is it a good idea? Or, should I use some kind of RCA to 1/8" adapter and ditch the SB?

Thanks!

I would recommend dumping the SB however you can use both. If you use both, when you record simply disable the SB in device manager.

I run a SB Live for soundfonts and an M-audio card for audio, and I have no problems. And in Windows 98 I do not need to disable the Soundblaster in the device manager to record with the M-audio card, I just have the M-audio card selected as the "Preferred Recording Device" in the Control Panel/MultimediaControl. Maybe it's different in other Windows OPs.
