1st Tune on MR-8

I like the sound you got going for your guitar! What did you use to record it and how did you go about doing so? Nice tune!

I think I may have heard a bass in there, but I cant be sure. If you have a bass in there I think you need to bring it up in the mix. Good guitar playing and good tone on the guitars....good tune! Do you have lyrics for it? OH BTW, that's really good for your first try! One more thing....I'd love to hear some keys in there, that would be like butter on toast man.

The guitar tones are courtesy of running a V-amp 2 directly into the MR-8. The rythym parts are recorded as a stereo track with a bit of chorus and then dumped to the computer where they were panned fully Left and Right. The tone is probably based around the "Brit Hi-Gain" setting which is Behringer's attempt at modeling a Marshall JCM 800.

It didn't take too much work to get the tones out of the V-amp 2..........it's pretty easy. The only problem I had was getting the same tone back after taking a day or two off. You'll notice the tone on some of the lead parts are a bit different which was not intended, but I decided to leave it as is.

Yes there is bass in there. I sounds about right on my computer, but I wouldn't argue with boosting it a bit. Maybe I'll bump it up a little then repost the song.

No lyrics for it. I struggle a little with meshing words and music. Much practice required.

Keys would be cool but I don't play them well AT ALL, and the only set I have available is a cheap kids "toy". Maybe I should consult with friends who are gifted in that area!

I know exactly what you're talking about with the V-Amp. I started using a spreadsheet to record the settings of my V-Amp with every take I do. It saves a lot of cussing! If you want a copy of the spreadsheet to use, just PM me with your e-mail address and I'll e-mail it to you.
