What would you guys pay for one in really good condition?
My local music store has one for $449 i am seriously considering buying- its aesthetic condition makes it obvious that the bass is 25 years old but it plays great, is the perfect size for me (im a small guy) and sounds pretty good too. is 449 too much? thank you.

I dont think you`d be wrong at all. If it fits and your comfortable with the sound, you`d pay that much in any other decent bass around and it might not feel as good to you. Plus the fact that it will fall over into collectable range soon.

i have a 77 ( i think) musicmaster i got for 30 bucks and a carton of smokes. it was really beat to shit, though, so i'm refinishing/rebuilding it. i like the size, and thought it sounded decent, and played decently.

in the end, 450 bucks is definately worth it for an instrument you consider a keeper.

i think 450 would be near the most you'd see for one of these. i got one in very condition at a pawn shop 5 years ago for 150 and ebayed it at 325 about 2 years later. cool little basses.

$450 seems a little high, try and get them down to $400 or so. Still, if you like it, that's what is most important. Also, you'll likely get your money back when it comes time to sell it. There are several on ebay, check 'em out.

man if you like it do anything to get it, even if you have to trade your kidney...
