this model is very scarce ....

so prices will fluctuate extremely ... my guess: anywhere fom 5-10 grand, depending on condition an originality ...

its pretty much a Duo-Jet of this year ( also with dynasonic pups) with different top .... and those go for 3-6 grand regularly

cheers

Unlikely. Sure, there are not a lot of them, but it was never all that popular, and no one really important plays them as their main guitar. It is not nearly as valuable as a 6020, which has such a long list of players that it is in very high demand.

I don't have a Blue Book with me, but don't get your hopes up too high.

My guess would be somewhere in the $2500-$3500 range. The guys over at Gretsch Pages should get you a pretty good ballpark number. Pictures of the actual instrument are always helpful.

blue book never did it for me ... if you run a reality check (=ebay, where real people pay with real money) ... you will pretty soon find out that there are guitars that NEVER make it up to their suggested B-B low end ....

.... and then there are guitars that even beat up go *systematically* for way more than B-B "excelent" would suggest.

last week a guy at the gretsch forum sold a refinished but overall very good 56 Duo Jet for 1600,- .... it was sold faster than I could pull up the pics (and I have broadband) :D :D
