Seriously, What's wrong with Behringer?

Is it all their stuff or just the mixers?

As low as their prices are, I was planning on getting a patchbay and a 6-channel mixer.

How BAD are we talking. I have a Tascam 414, Art Tube MP, RNC, Nanoverb, and Rode NT1.

With THAT equipment, is it a good buy, or would I end up regretting it?

Usually its just Behringer mixers that get a bad rap around here......for recording the preamps kinda suck and the EQ is almost useless and its routing capabilities isnt all that flexible....now, if your budget is X amount of dollars and a Mackie, Soundcraft, or Allen&Heath doesnt fall in line with X, Behringer mixers can get a job done....

you already have an Art, so you dont need the preamp...EQ can be done if software...so what do u need the mixer for?...

Mainly for submixing. I'm trying to get a rig together to where I can record a whole band.

I'd submix the kick, snare, overhead, DI'd Bass, and rhthym guitar to one track, leaving a track for lead guitar, lead vocals, and 2nd vocal or keys or whatever.

Anyway, I need at least 5 channels.

Also, I can't seem to find a way to hook up both my Nanoverb and my RNC to my 414 at the same time. I've tried various combinations of mono, stereo, trs, headphone out to reverb, etc. and I can't get it.

The mixer would be for recording but I have an extremely limited budget.

What would you suggest I get?

Its that is what you can afford like i said, it can get a job done....lesser $$$ gear usually means lesser quality results, but that doesnt mean bad results.....if you arent trying to produce a commercial CD, youll be ok....im just very cautious giving out gear advice because some people think they can get the mack daddy studio with a Behringer mixer and a soundblaster live and "record their next CD"......

what are you gonna record to?...if you need to go out of the mixer with more than the stereo mix, make sure the model you pick has that many outs....also, make sure you have at least 2 aux channels on the model for those effects units.....
