15000 Rpm Hdd

I have dual 7200 's in my box, and I am seriously considering a couple of 15000 's SCSI. I am right in my calculation that I will be able to get more track playback in a faster RPM drive, right? I don't hear of people using them much and just wanted to inquire if anyone has any experience with them.

Seems like mass overkill to me.

Sounds like something designed to read/write DVD quality video to.

I was thinking of this too...I might have to playback around 48 tracks on the job I might have over the summer in Cubase SX.

Go for it..... if your willing to fork out the dough for SCSI drives and controllers.
Im currently using the WD Raptor drives at 10000 rpm....works well enough.

More depends on the sustained throughput of your drives. But 48 tracks should be no problem.
