Ok, now for the condenser question.

I have the setup ordered for kick, toms, snare, etc. Now I am looking for some 'working man' priced condenser mics. I have browsed through the likes of r0de's nt3, oktava mk012, and some shure condensors in the same price range. These will mainly be used for cymbal overheads, but other purposes will be served (as they are discovered).

With the ~$150 price range considered, what would you guys suggest?

nt3

I use two nt3's as my overheads and have gotten very good results. If you can, though I would suggest getting a matched pair of Oktava's. They are much more universal, especially if you get the different capsules.
Oh yeah, if you go with the oktava's get a matched pair from . . . . . . . . . . the Sound Room ONLY.:)

RE will tell you why;)

I use a single NT1 so far for my setup, you can get it from zzounds.com for $169, and I'm sure your local retailers will be willing to price match...Guitar Center did for me.
