Hey guys, I have a very very addictave personallity. Every time overtime comes up for me, which isn't often, I refuse to give any of it to my wife, I keep it all and buy gear.

Well, we have tons of overtime comming up for the next few months, and I am about to buy a used Akai s-3000xl.

Heres a list of MIDI gear I currently own:

1. Roland JW-50 as a Master Controller (also a great 16 ch. midi mixer)

2. Roland JV-1080 (dance, techno, house, & vint. synth EXP boards + 2K more Patches in a Soundiver Library)

3. Roland JD-990 (700 additional patches in a Soundiver Library)

4. Roland JV-90 (300 additional patches in a Soundiver Library)

5. Roland MC-303

6. Korg Triton Rack (Maxed out sample time, SCSI card and SCSI zipdrive)

7. Yamaha TG-77 (400 additional patches)

8. Yamaha FB-01 (Awesome bass module)

9. Yamaha TG-500 (500 additional patches)

10. Yamaha S-80 Keyboard

11. Alesis QSR (400 additional patches)

12. Alesis DM-Pro drum module with Hart Dynamics 7 piece elec. drum kit

13. Gigastudio 32 with 16 channels of 61 keys mapped out with drum sounds on its own dedicated computer.

14. Akai s-3000xl - AKAI sample disks/CD-Roms for my Triton and Akai s3000xl, Hundreds of old LP's from 60's, 70's, 80's, & 90's used for sampling.

15. EMU Planett Phatt

IM AT IT AGAIN !!!! I need a few new somethings !!!

Once again wife is ticked off. We just started the overtime and I'm scouring the net for bargain used stuff, I refuse to buy anything new

So what, maybe a Access C Rack? DEFINATELY, just trying to find one used right now.

it can be old gear, or new gear or collector items (vintage)

Korg o1/rw, Korg Wavestation AD, Ensoniq ASR Rack, Roland S-330, Ensoniq MR-rack, Kurtzweil pc2r, Proteus 2000

What would yall go for that would be different?

Dude, buy your wife something nice!

(You have enough toys for now. . .c'mon, Planet Phatt?!)

(. . plus it'll be more fun to tweak a patch while she blows you)

Well, I decided on the Roland S-330, because I used to have one years ago that I traded in toward my Triton Rack. I still have the RC-100 remote control for it and its a oldie, but goodie and it has some history to it for me and Roland as I believe it was one of their first samplers ever made. I still have the Commodore video monitor for it. With the Video monitor sitting on top of the S-330 and the remote control infront of it, it actually looks pretty dam cool....like a little workstation :)

Oh Mallcoreprp, I like the patch tweaking idea so I've enclosed a pic of my wife to give you a visual of what will be going on when I'm in the studio.

What was with the ??? mark when you said "planet phatt?" ????

Mike
