Is there such a thing as a good soundcard for around $100? If not, what would be the closest thing? Some of the M-Audio soundcards seem to be pretty nicely priced. Are they going to be compatible with Windows XP?

BTW: I don't do any midi right now, but I don't want limit my options. I also don't have any preamps. I've only got the basics.

M-Audio makes good stuff. I recommend their product. I run the Delta 44 on XP, so yes it works on XP.......it was a slight pain to get it up and running right, but has been perfect since then

Oh boy . . . don't tell me that. That was the card I had my eye on. Well, surely I can figure it out.
