Looking for one single microphone to capture both acoustic guitar and vocals at the same time, $500-$1000. This is the only application this microphone will be used for. Tube might be good. Preferably something that sounds "warm" and is not too harsh. Suggestions?

Hard to give you an answer as you need to find a mic that you like on your voice. That said I've done just this thing with a Studio Projects T3 with good results. I just got and haven't tried on a vocal/acoustic take yet is a Michael Joly moded 319. The quality on my vocie is very nice and "warm". Can't complain about the price. $79 for the mic and $250 for the top of the line mod.
Just a couple of ideas. There are hundreds more to be sure.

I agree -- find a large condenser that is good for your voice (maybe you can find a store where you can try a few out) and you will be able to deal with it for the guitar. When I made this choice a few years ago I chose an AT4047, which as I recall is about $500
