I doubt a new interface will fix the problem. What you have should be fine. I've heard that running other usb/firewire devices while recording can cause problems with pops and clicks.I would tend to think the problem was a internal setting or program as mentioned.

Well after much more reading I decided to hold off on the RNP.I'll save a bit more and do more research. I thought about the DAV BG-1 but a big issue for me is not having a dealer in the states. I like knowing that service is not far away if needed.To bad cause it seems to be what I'm looking for.

I'm selling some gear to buy an FMR RNP.Do think I'll still find a need for DMP3 after I buy the RNP or should that be an item to sell to purchase the RNP ? Sorry about another pre question. :o

I recently made a large homemade version of the mic thingy. It basicly consists of three 4 by 2 panel on hinges stuffed with fiberglass. I had the most material so it cost hardly a thing and it made a BIG difference in my recordings. I hope to post with/without recordings sometime in the future.

I just did yesterday as well. All that recording time is very nice ! :D
