one more ? does anyone know if when you re-format a tune from 16 to 24 bit on your pc do you really "hear" the difference kind of like you would hear when going from a not so hot recording to a digital master. Please advise even if this seems silly.

does anyone know if I recorded material in cakewalk pro 9 with a 16 bit card and then upgrade to a 24 bit card... if by changing the format to 24 will make the recording sound as good as if it was originally recording in 24 bit ???????

I have pro audio 9 & a midi keyboard. Is there any cool virtual keyboard software that will work to get more sounds ? Right now I can get the sounds from my sound card (I guess thats where they come from) If I want to record the sound from the keyboard itself do I record it through the line in ?

I'm a guitarist that is doing home pc recording with cakewalk pro 9 and I need a keyboard I have approx. $400.00 to spend and I'm looking for a good deal on a used one. Since my area of expertise is guitars I really need some advice in this area. I'm mainly doing jazz fusion and smooth jazz.

Ok this might be a stupid one but what is the cheapest easiest way to interface a guitar with midi ? Gvox ? also if I use a midi pickup does this mean I can now play synth sounds with my guitar using plug in soft ware that would normally be used with a keyboard ? I'm kind of clueless on midi...

Ok I've successfully recorded a song on Cakewalk Pro audio 9 I mixed it down to one stereo track which appears as a new track in the same song then I downloaded to a wave file (real audio) and I listened to it.......my question is this, are the levels that are set prior to mixdown the levels...

I'm working on a demo and I have cakewalk pro audio 9 on a home pc with a cd burner my sound card is a standard 16 bit soundblaster (full duplex) can I make a half way decent demo or do I have to have a 24 bit "PRO" soundcard. Thanks
