In my sound cards control panel i am able to assign all the ouputs to one set of stereo outs to monitor. In my recording software i can still assign recorded tracks to seperate ouputs, but they still come out of the main output. I also record everything stereo when i can, then i pan the tracks...

I have a peavey classic 30 tube amp, and was wondering if it is possible to use the head as a preamp. I would run my guitar into the head then from the heads output to my sound card. I think that output is powered, so im thinking it would break my card horribly.

TravisinFlorida, i turned the trim down on the extra loud channels and it worked perfectly. Now i have a nice full signal and no clipping. Perfect :)
