I'm using Battery to sample short WAVs in cubase. Should I be housing these samples on my external hard drive or the native one? right now the external one is being used for recorded audio, but should I put my single-hit samples on there too? thanks for helping out.

Go buy the book "Home Recording for Dummies." Lots of good info, plus it does have a chart that tells you the frequencies for certain instruments, like boosting 1-5 kHz of bass guitar will get you more attack, etc.

my logic is that if you put in the delay after the reverb, you would get more of a reverb and thats not good. likewise, if you put in the reverb after the delay I guess i would get my desired sound but wouldnt the reverb sound unnatural?
