    Yeah, moved stuff around quite a bit. Tried different amps in different rooms. Best room for guitars was still the main room where the drums were tracked... and you still cant beat that good old sm57 on a marshall... :)

    Presonus TUBEPRE question

    Yes, the tube should "appear" to be glowing red as soon as you turn it on. The reason I say "appear" is because I read somewhere that there is actually a red LED under the tube which makes it appear to glow. I have one of these units and loved it when I first got it, but I outgrew it quickly...

    Hi Sadistikpro, Work from the mic backwards... 1. Check the input to the Mic Pre isn't over loading/clipping. 2. Check the output isn't either. 3. Check the EMU inputs are overloading. 4. etc...     Codensor for bass rig...

    Just finished tracking bass for an album using an AUDIX D6 on the rig and Sansamp for direct... They worked great. We'll start mixing in March so that'll confirm how well it worked. Oh and got nice clearity at the top end with the D6.
