Did you know...
Straight question / Straight answer.... is the American Strat better? YES.
But... did you know, that the Fender factory in the US is only 30 miles
from the factory located in mexico?
The materials made in both guitars are pretty much the same now.
All the materials for...
Well... like I said, if you expect a "clone" of something you won't be
satisfied. But... the PODXT does produce it's own real sounds.
If you can hear it, it is real. Of course if you try to draw comparisons
between the sounds the PODXT produces and the ones that it claims
to reproduce, you will...
I am curious as to how you "fake" a sound.?
As I mentioned in an earlier post; the PODXT sounds like the PODXT.
It will not "clone" something else. I like the PODXT for what it is.
When I bought my Fender Strat, I didn't complain because it didn't sound
like my Les Paul. Of course, Fender...
I agree 100%. I was gonna say that myself. With less noise, layering
becomes easier, not more difficult. Seems I have become a bit of a
defender of the PODXT here. LOL. Didn't really mean to be.
But... I use it quite a bit and I simply cannot agree with all of the
comments that seem to spin it...
Not sure if you are renting or if you own. But... my best advice is to pick
a closet you can work in then treat the walls. After you treat the walls,
it can double as an ISO booth and still be used as a closet.
It may be a pain in the ass to move the contents in and out, but the
results will be...
Great! That's the whole idea isn't it? To find the sounds we are looking for.
I am glad the box worked for you. I have a few myself. But I have learned
to rely more and more on my pre-amp/direct recording style. Sometimes
it takes a while to learn how to tweak your "machines" into shape and find...

ISO Boxes dampen your sound. And are certainly not an accurate
representation of the speaker you are putting in it (if that's what your
seeking). An ISO booth on the other hand CAN work if it is big enough to
allow the speaker to produce it's full frequency spectrum and not run into
a standing...
"Sound", and all things that make up a sound (ie. tone etc.) are all
subjective. What one person likes is not necessarily what another person
will like. It all depends on the particular "sound" one is trying to achive.
If the gear you have will achive that sound, it's the right gear for you.
If...
Good to see a fellow GMP player out there. You don't see many because
they are so exspensive and limited in production, but I think they are
the "best" guitar I have ever played. But, like I said, that's subjective
to a point huh? LOL. Anyway... for those of you not familiar with GMP,
look into...
I have played just about everything. Certainly most of the brands/models
mentioned here so far. And... to be honest, I never really thought that
any of these guitars got an unfair "bad rap", or were truly underrated.
If someone were to say "this is crap" or "that is junk" may not really be
fair...
Thank you guys for all of your "input" (pardon the pun).
I think I have a very good grasp on the whole insert thing now.
I believe Christiaan is correct. The VC6Q does have a line out
and it is suggested in the manual that it can be run through
an insert just fine. That is the way I have wired...
Thanx for the replies. Not sure I am clear on what to do yet though.
Per your question, no... the VC6 does not have a threshold button
on it.
Interestingly though, it does have 2 outputs. They are not a left
and right configuration, but I wonder if they could be used that
way on a return...
I have a home recording studio. I write and record all my own junk.
I run all my intruments and rack-gear through my mixer ( Mackie 1202 VLZ)
and then go out out of the mixer Stereo (L/R) to my recorder.
I have a Joe Meek VC6Q and an Alesis Midiverb 4 that I am trying to work
into my...
