    takamine GS-330S

I'm about to list my takamine GS-330S on ebay. I actually had two of them, and this one that I just sold was sort of beat up, had a little bit of saddle issues, and the heel was slghtly seperated, though it came to me like that and hadn't gotten any worse in the 9 years that I've had the guitar...

Stifled creativity. Inspiration. I feel like dying.

this may be silly, but you find definitions from a dictionary, not a thesaurus. on another note, i don't think xtjdx is being whiny or spoiled. he's just growing up, and there's nothing wrong with questioning your place in life. it probably happens to most people with a fully functional brain...

new song - "The Pelican" - listen please. thank you

sleddog, yea i definitely recorded it probably 5 times before i got something i thought would suffice haha...but most of it had to do with me forgetting how many bars to play certain riffs. oh how i do wish i could have 3 or 4 XLR inputs on my silly little devil box (the spectacular tascam...

How many people copywrite their music before posting online?

if you're paying any more than 8.5 (9.1 cents starting 2006) cents a copy you're paying too much. they can't charge you any more than the statutory rate, though they can charge you less. and this is assuming you are selling the CDs. 10,000 sounds like a lot to me if you're not even sure you're...

Shit, Shower And Shave (A Real Man's Song)

haha i don't know man. it totally sounds like a bob and tom song to me. it could be useful!

Shit, Shower And Shave (A Real Man's Song)

quite entertaining, though i'd like to warn you that as far as i know, a piece isn't copyrighted until it is complete, so i wouldn't go around advertising that it's a work in progress maybe i'm wrong...my intellectual properties test didn't go so hot today

new song - "The Pelican" - listen please. thank you

really appreciate the couple comments i've gotten. i really didn't know what to do with the electric guitar. like you said, it's a bit of a surprise, and i didn't really know how to make it more subtle (or even if it was necessarily needed). though you did like the minimal drums, i would've...

new song - "The Pelican" - listen please. thank you

i just finished recording this about half an hour ago and just figured i'd throw it out there and see if anybody feels like playing catch. http://www.nowhereradio.com/artists/album.php?aid=4018&alid=-1 just umm click to the right of "the pelican." any comments, good or bad, are, of course...

haha no i appreciate it a lot man. and you're totally right. i just don't have the tools for that in my own little "studio" here or else it'd have already been done. thanks

    NEW SONG! critique?

let me first say thanks for listening. you're probably right about the limiting audience...but ahh it's just what i felt like saying. i'm sure i could fill it with "you've run your luck out" if for some weird reason it was ever needed. all of the instruments and vocals are me...you'll have to...

New track, "Fade Away (pt 2)"...comments?

i didn't really enjoy the overall recording very much. the vocals were too quiet, mostly, and i didn't really like the sound of the drums. the song isn't exactly the style that i listen to, but i felt like it was a good song; however, i didn't like the way it was sung. almost every word was...

    "if i go" - original...critique?

yea nobody seems to like the harmonica...i suppose that's fine. i just have it in front of me, and it's tough not to try... as far as the sound goes, it's different in every song. in "a day apart" i stole my buddy's alvarez for a while, recorded left channel with a shitty small diaphragm...

    "if i go" - original...critique?

hmm i had a song called "a day apart" that had somewhat similar lyrics. here they are: can you tell me how a day goes on without the sun? can you tell me how my life's supposed to be now that your gone? can you tell me how to feel when i roll over and you're not there? cuz i'm feelin pretty...

    "if i go" - original...critique?

thanks again for the input. yea, it certainly isn't the most venturesome song vocally, but that has mostly to do with the fact that i'm not much of a singer. i've written other stuff that moves around a lot more, and i won't post it because i get out of tune so much. so...yea i'm still working...

    "if i go" - original...critique?

thanks. i appreciate your input. i'll be the first to admit i have no idea how to play the harmonica :)

    "if i go" - original...critique?

i just re-recorded this song for the past 2 hours...i may have showed the board this about 9 months ago but it was recorded in mono and just under 2 minutes long. i lengthened it by a minute and added a couple instruments and did some stereo. feel free to critique the song or the mix...i'm new...
