I tested the analog cable for a short, nope. so I checked the card. looks to be a short in it and I don't have the skill required to fix it.
does anyone know how Emu/Creative is to deal with in repair?
~Casey
Just built a new system, not the greatest but a much needed step up from the POS that I was using. went from PIII 1ghz to a SEMPRON 2700+
now here is the funny part. I get everything installed and the card is in. I open up Emu/Creative's E-DSP Patchmix virtual mixer. and whala... only the...

it is the top song, it is not finished, and there are some things that need to be fixed in the recording, but it is a rough idea.
tell me what you think.

Hey you emo lovers out there... no affence before you even listen to it.
well after hitting a brick wall and not knowing what to write on our better song. my band wrote this in about 5 min. This song was made with 1 thing on our minds to make fun of emo. just try not to bash my vocalist's high...
I figured it out!
under the setting thing there was a button that said Multirecord
so it worked
the next problem was in the vst inputs, it said this:
PCI in L Activated VST in 1 L
PCI in L Activated VST in 1 R
-------------------------------------
PCI in R
PCI in R
so...

ok, I know I am no James Heitfeild. but this is a nice slow country song, yes it is a crappy attempt at "singing" I was going way too fast. but this is just to see what you all think. it is in mp3 format.

In a bit, after I find the attachment to convert the 1/8th plug to a 1/4 plug for my headphones, I will give it another shot. then I will record that and stick on the net for you all to see what I might be doing wrong.
I use the speaker in the amp. within the next week, I will be reciving the...
ok, thanks for the suggestions. I don't really have an congestion in my nose right now.
another problem might be... I did cheap out... I bought a mixer that would just barely acommidate what I wanted. (Nady SRM-14X) and the mics were on a nice sale... buy 1 get 2 free... lol. they are Nady...
hehehe. ok, ya... I am a guitarist, can't sing any play at the same time, but I thought I was singing good... oh well. could It also be that I don't have a power amp for my monators yet and I am running it though a 15 watt crate practice amp?
~Casey
I play the Crate GLX65. I like it alot, lotta sound comes out of it...
one thing... I recomend blowing like 75 on a little amp then save... no hord your money and blow it all on a big tube amp (not solid state)... personally I would love to someday go for the Mesa Boogie Nomad 50 watt
