I'm planning to build a desktop short rack cabinet for one preamp, reverb and power strip. How much space should I leave between my rack units for adequate cooling. I notice that my Tampa has cooling gills on the top of the cabinet so I'm guessing that that quite a bit of heat wants out.

I want to update my preamps. I record nylon string guitar with MXL 603s (90% and DI bass 10%). Considering that I'm more guitar player than engineer, would I be happier with the Firebox, DMP3 preamp into my current M-Audio 2496 or with an up-scale preamp like the Eureka?

I've owned and used a Gretsch Country Gentleman since 1970. I bought it used and am hoping that some of you might help me find the year it was made (serial #77749). It was made before Gretsch began opening up the f holes and does not have Chet's name on the pickguard. Thanks.
