Rolland Jazz Amp

Does anyone have experience with the Rolland Jazz Amp? A local store has a used one in pretty good shape. Many seem to be pleased with the Cube Rollands and I'd like to have something simple and clean, no distortion etc needed.

Thanks.

As far as I know there's no such amp as a Roland (one l, not two) "Jazz Amp." As texroadkill mentioned, there is a JC120 and a couple of other models -- the JC stands for "Jazz Chorus," so it's probably what you are talking about.

The other well-known amp for jazz guitarists are the various Polytone models.

But pretty much any good amp with a good clean sound will do just fine. I use both a Carvin SX-200 and an old Fender Deluxe Reverb and they both sound great.

The amp is a Roland Jazz Chorus 50. I took my Country Gentleman back to the store, tried it out and bought it. It has wonderful, clean tone with the Gent and I like it with my piezo nylon string too. The chorus effect is nice but the overall tone and low background noise level of the amp sold it to me. It's plenty loud for my use with the volume level on two.

My last amp was a Twin Reverb and I never was very happy with it.
