    micing ######## vocals

    i recorded like 2 songs for my band just so we could play this one gig and i recorded the screaming/yelling with a shure 58, i had the singers mouth like a foot away from the mic and didnt come out too well. anyone got some tips on placement, compression things like that?

    thats dank man. good quality and i like the song. the only thing is on the little chorus part of 25 to life when the guy says that it sounds like its been cut up and looped. im not sure how you could fix that except placing it better good though otherwise

    yea the snare needs more top end to it. try a bit of reverb on the guitar, lots of dub and reggae puts heavy reverb on the guitar otherwise sounded good. does this band have a website, in liked the song a lot.

    wow thats really great for using those mics. i think it sounds just about as good as it could get. maybe put the rhodes up just a tiny bit. how are you recording everything. im fairly new into recording and i'd like a few tips. great job and song. i like the reverse cymbals too!
