Hi, The SC8850 is a module. I have the "midi out" from my Layla24 soundcard going to the "midi in" of the SC8850. Then I have the "audio out" from the SC8850 going to a Mackie mixer, which goes into the "audio in" of the Layla24. Thanks, Lee

I just installed a new Layla 24 and I can't get my Cubase to record anything. I think I've exhausted y limited knowledge and still can't get anything to record. I see input levels on the Layla console, but get nothing in Cubase. Anyone had similar problems? Thanks in advance. Lee

Can't you import the midi track(s) into Cakewalk and then record them on an audio track? That's what I do with Cubase. Record each midi track separately onto an audio track, then mix all the audio tracks together (or in the case of Cubase, I can just export all the audio tracks and they will...
