Had deleted all songs, then optimized the drive which is supposed to erase all data. Looked at time remaining and it said i had 80 minutes of recording time left. I think I will reinitilize the drive and see what happens. Thanks for posting. .

Am having problems when recording 8 tracks at once. Alot of times the unit will quit recording and give me a drive busy message. Can not seem to figure this out. Any and all info would greatly apprecciated. THANKS

Have VS-1880, and am using Shure KSM-32 Mic. Vocals sound a little weak. Am starting to look at Pre-Amps, but not really sure what to go with. Can anyone give me any suggestions? Can only afford $500-$600, but would naturally like to spend less. Have looked a little at Presonus and DBX. Also...

Mic Pres I don't know if the pre amps on an 1880 are the same, but I think they are decent on anything, as long as you are close miking. I do find that they don't do good at all on vocal's when backing the vocalist away from the mic to try and get a little room sound.

Have Roland VS-1880 and Shure KSM-32. Getting good sound but I know from what I here that if I get a pre-amp I am going to get a much better sound. Have been recording enough to know that it all matters on what sounds good. Am a firm beleiver that you get what you pay for, but do I really need...

Have Roland VS-1880 and am needing more simultanious tracks. Would you advise a four or eight bus mixer or another Roland recorder? Looks like I could get off cheaper with a mixer but do not know the ins and outs. Any info would be great for me.

I did as John said, every wall at 6 degres, and I am very pleased. As for accoustics I just simply used diffusion on rear wall. Wish you luck and welcome back JOHN.
