PRV/Session Drummer Audio Issue in Sonar 6 Producer

Thanks James... that worked. I deleted the Session Drummer plug-in, saved the project, closed Sonar, opened the project, inserted Session Drummer plug-in and viola... I have Session Drummer audio in PRV. The obsessive-compulsive side of me is dying to know why this is happening (and how to...

PRV/Session Drummer Audio Issue in Sonar 6 Producer

I'm using Sonar 6 Producer. I've got a project with 2 midi tracks and their accompanying audio tracks/soft synths. One MIDI track is for Session Drummer and the other is for Absynth. I've thought everything configured properly-- I can hear the audio on playback for both MIDI tracks just fine...

    Gear for sale!

The ART Levelar and one RNC have been sold. If you live close to the Oklahoma City area or don't mind driving, I have more gear for sale. This is all big and/or heavy stuff that I don't want to bother with shipping and am trying to sell locally. Pictures are available here...

    Gear for sale!

I should mention that I don't want to accept PayPal if you are paying by credit card. I don't want to give those bastards any extra money... haha! If you absolutely have to pay by credit card, I'll accept it if you add 4.9% on top of the price.

    Open Letter To Mr. Gerst

Harvey is the man!! I didn't know anything about Harvey's history when I first found this forum. But I was desperately trying to figure out how to make a decent acoustic guitar recording and I stumbled across some of his advice. I tried Harvey's suggestions and my recordings improved...

    Why acoustic amp?

Exactly! I've got an SWR Strawberry Blonde and I basically only use it as a personal monitor. I always run a line out of it into the board so it's acting as a "DI" as well. But I would say that's the biggest benefit of an amp over going straight DI. Another benefit is it's a decent little bass...

    fender amps? bassmans, twins, etc.

Last night a buddy brought over a '68 Princeton silver face to my band's jam room. It had the original tubes in it!! It looked old but in good condition. He paid $500 but I think you could probably get one for less on Ebay if you watch them. Anyway, sound-wise... it sounded like classic Fender...

    doubling tracks for..

There are no rules. Try panning it to different degrees or right down the center. All that matters is you like how it sounds. Sometimes panning can help a solo cut through a dense mix. But panning could also make the mix sound a little lop-sided (not balanced) as well. Experiement and go with...

    doubling tracks for..

Well you should try it and if it sounds good then it was a good choice. It really depends on the solo and the song and your style and your artistic vision, etc. etc. If it were me I would probably write a harmony part for the solo-- or at least parts of the solo rather than doubling it...

    Modeler Help Me Decide

If you really just want it for practice purposes... you can't beat the Vamp. I wouldn't recommend it for live use or for serious recording (just my opinion). But for a practice amp... it's great. My main amp is a Budda Superdrive. I don't like lugging it to band rehearsal every week so I...

Has anyone actually taken a look at this Randall?

I disagree. I think it's the marketing departments at the amp manufacturers who have woken up to the fact that this is another angle to market toob gear as tube gear. People who don't understand what we know about real tube amps think "hey it's got a tube in the power section... it must be...

    Mic Capsules and Moisture

I've always been curious why radio people like Howard Stern or Imus use those high-dollar LDC mics without any pop filters. If I'm understanding the information BigRay provided, those big radio celebs probably have their mics maintained (cleaned and tested) on a fairly regular basis. I used to...

    Taping the bridge

I've been doing this for 15+ years with every guitar I've owned and I've never had a problem with the neck on any of those guitars. I wish there was a Myth Busters show dedicated to musicians/recording. :D

For confused and misguided guitar players?

The former bassist in my band played that exact Conklin (the natural one). He is an incredible bassist and played the hell out of that thing. It sounds great. We used to tease him that it's so big you could land planes on it so we called it the "aircraft carrier." haha.
