Now, My Daughter Wants a Shot!

she handles the guitar very well. at 15, my playing wasn't nearly as crisp as hers is. the chord changes are quite nice. she seemed a little timid in the vocal but she handles it nicely. as her confidence grows her voice will become very powerful. she reminds me a bit of liz phair - during...

    much a buzz about nothing

hey all, here are some songs that a couple of friends and i created. we used PA9 through an aardvark 24/96. the guitars were recorded with a shure sm57, the vox through an akg c200b condensor. everything else was recorded direct (bass, keys, drums, etc..). the drums were all programmed using...

    16 vs. 24

i love my bbe. it could quite possibly the single most important part of my guitar rig. that thing is the magical black box. i have the cheapy mono bbe 362. i think that they're selling for about $100 now, if you can still find one. if you can, they are certainly worth the hundo. since i'm...

    16 vs. 24

thanks for speaking my language d2t. the math examples made it easy to understand. o.k., so what about software for mastering. i'm not going to spend $1200 per session......at least not at this point. is there anything i can do that is less expensive

    16 vs. 24

16 vs. 24 and dsp so what kind of stuff does one do when they get to the dsp portion of their project? i have 5 different projects in various states of tracking completion (all of which were recorded in 16bit) and i'm learing on the fly here. so, i guess i'm asking that once all of my...

    16 vs. 24

i thought i read a thread about this a while back in this here cakey forum of ours. some people swore that 16 made no difference to 24. someone claimed they could hear a difference. someone claimed they could not hear a difference. i can't hear a difference, at least with the stuff i'm...

    Cakewalk Fx 2 and 3 (PA9)

amp sim actually, if you use the amp sim on an acoustic guitar you can get some pretty wicked sounding distortions.... the tools are there, might as well try to use them. you can never have enough gear. i still have amps, effects, guitars, etc..that are pushing ten years in my...

    where did the fx go?

I'm having a problem with Pro Audio 9. Why is it that when i record some guitar and add cakewalk effects, then copy and move those tracks into a different project, the cakewalk effects don't copy over to the new project? This is especially difficult when a friend records vocals on his computer...

    Is it just me...................

that sounds great. i'm suprised you found a drummer who is so willing to learn your programmed beats. i'm still going to continue to take a break from drummers for a while. at least until i can find one who is a bit more reasonable.
