Hey guys,
I am a novice to say the least when it comes to recording. I am only recording vocals and will only every be recording vocals. My question is as stated in the title, is the less gear you have in your signal chain, the better?
Right now I have the current set up:
Audio Technica...
Hey guys,
I recently rented an API A2D from my local shop and I am thinking about purchasing it. I've been reading good things about the vintech x73i and its comparison to the neve 1073 though. My question I guess is, is it better to spend the extra money and get a separate EQ strip and chain...
Hi Guys,
My current setup is as follows:
Audio Technica 4047-->Mbox2 mini-->computer
That is my signal path. Is it worth it for me to include a preamp and/or compressor in between the Microphone and the mbox2.
Thanks.
Hey guys, recently purchased the AT4047 and it came with an audio technica black shock mount, I am assuming it is the basic one. Anyways, my question is... Is this shock mount sufficient or should I invest in something better. I used to have the AKG H-85 ...misplaced it, do you guys know if that...

hey guys,
im using CEP 2.0 and say for instance i was recording drums and id have 6 mics...id like CEP to recognize each mic as a different track when i record. how would i go about doing this with a mixer? what kind of soundcard would i need?
thanks
im planning on buying a yamaha mixer , i have a dbx mini pre amp for my studio projects b1. do i connect the pre then go to the mixer, then to my pc? or do i go, mixer, pre, then to the pc?
thank you
i know you can merge two seprate tracks into one using the duplicate feature in pro tools, is there a feature where i can merge two sets of recording into one in CEP? Because i sometimes have two sets of vocals i want to be one.
thank you
ive read on these forums that the SPB1 has an internal shock mount. i was thinking about getting the AKG H100 for it, but is it necessary since theres an internal one?
thank you.
all i have to say is, wow, what a difference from my older set up, (radioshack mic into mic in)
for the price im really surprised how good this mic is, this board really is right about the B1.
is there a way to send each track from a mixer to a different track in CEP 2 instead of sending it to one track as one mixdown? do i need a special soundcard?
thanks
