    RME Babyface Pro

As I menetioned earlier my first interface was a M-Audio, the cheap one, and it did the same thing. Is there a posting on here with recomendations on the computer settings? Maybe I need to go back to the beginning and make sure all the settings are correct? I do need to mention I perform live...

    RME Babyface Pro

I have tried it both ways, high and low, I have moved back from the mic at loud points, I have stayed in the same position while singing and it makes no difference. low singing is not as noticeable. I have tried different microphones, I wrapped towels around me while singing :) but no...

it is not distortion, I know it may not make sense, but it has a glassy edge sound, I used to have a M-Audio interface that did the same thing, but I do not hear this when I record on my DP-24. I have also tried different microphones. so I was wondering if there are any tips on the settings on...

Listen to the playback of your voice and the singer of the song, Continue to do this until you cannot hear any pitch difference between you and the singer on the...

    Vocal Recording

For the live shows it is open mics and also ive tried line out from the board direct into my recorder, with these my voice is always rich and thick. In my studio i use an AKG top of the line mic, and Ive tried my Shure SM58, in all these situations the studio is weak and thin. I use Izotope...

I am a live performer and also record my own material. When i record a live show my vocals are rich and have body to them. But when I record in a controlled environment the vocal reproduction never sounds as good as the live shows I do, they sound thin, weak, regardless of what effect I apply...

    DP-24 - I love it (so far)

I will say I've had my DP-24 for almost 2 years, did not start using it until May of 2013 due to traveling. I bought the unit because it was a Tascam product and I have had good luck with these products from Tascam and Teac. Its evident I did not do enough research on the DP-24 so it is all my...

Is the DP-24 being discontinued or replaced?

nothing surprises me, but if I was you I would look at the computer software for recording, I bought the DP24 in 2012, and I wish I had did more research. I had the Tascam 16 track tape unit from 1984 I sold it in 2011 thinking I was moving to a smaller house, now I regret that greatly. If I...

    DP24 Mixing

Thanks, but evidently I must have a mental block in this area. I've read where it says you can add effects but when I am playing back the master file it does not allow me to adjust the effects. Have I something set wrong?
