New to recording. Have a Yamaha 16-track DAW. Going direct with acoustic guitar. Strumming sounds tinny- meaning thin. Want more umph. Tried EQ, but with minimal results. Any suggestions?

It says the jack is female, right? So you get the cable with male ends. I've never seen a male RCA jack on a piece of gear. Do you see male or female jacks on your 2496? -c

Figured it out. Just needed to set the System to DigIn1 from INT. I hit the "System" button until I got "SYS System PRM", then hit YES. Then used parameter buttons until I got to "SYS MasterClk=..." and used Time/Value to get "DigIn1".

I have an Alesis unit coming into the Digital In on my VS880EX and have assigned tracks 7 and 8 to the "On" position for In1, but am getting no signal. What is going on? What am I doing wrong? -c
