Hey guys,
I've run into a bit of trouble here. A week ago I recorded an original song onto Cubase and used a few Waves plugins, but now I've found out that my Waves license has expired. Cubase is now refusing to export my song, and either stays stuck at 0% or crashes. Yay.
I removed all of the...
Hi guys,
This is my first time properly recording and just wanted some opinions on how I should change it / whether its any good or not.
I'm only 14 but really want to start getting into this sort of stuff more and more - it really interests me!
It doesn't have any vocals or drums though so...
Thanks for your help! Turns out however that the problem was just fixed on a fluke - after like 5 times of restarting my computer it finally worked for no apparent reason! Weird, huh?
Thank you anyway :)
Sorry Jimmy! My DAW is Cubase AI5 but I have also tried recording/playback in Ableton Live Lite 8 but it doesn't work on either. My computer is a 6GB RAM Asus N55SF.
Thanks!
Hi HomeRecording,
I have just received a new Scarlett 2i4 but I am not getting any sort of audio playback in any DAW or on any application in my computer! When I plug a mic in I can hear myself through my headphones but when I record, no sort of audio signal is inputted in the DAW.
Help would be...
Hi,
I would like to record some songs from my amp - I have an Audio Technica AT2020 lying around and have just ordered an M-Audio Fast Track an hour ago, and it will arrive on Tuesday.
I play a Fender USA Strat, and my amp is a Laney L5T-112.
Thanks.
thanks shadow_7
my bro has an old Roland D-10 synth keyboard - on the back there are two 1/4 outs labeled output. does that mean I can plug a dual 1/4 to 1/4 cable into the keyboard and then into the line in? thanks :)
thanks guys!
will the M-Audio Keystation 61es also work with the cubase instruments?
on the website it shows these connections: http://www.m-audio.com/images/en/connectivity/big/keystation_61es.gif
which confuses me a bit. why do you need a sound module? I thought that u could just plug in the...
thanks sockswithshoes.
just one last question:
will the m audio keyrig 49 do the same thing as the keystudio?
it seems to have the same features.
i think the keystudio is discontinued.
thanks!
Hi,
I was going to buy the Keystation 61es, because my audio interface doesn't have a MIDI input, so I would imagine the Keystation would work if I just plugged it via USB to my PC.
So would I be able to play all of the software instruments (in Cubase) if I just plugged it into my PC, not into...
hi sockswithshoes,
with my interface i was going to record some guitar, then vocals, then percussion, then lastly, layer over some piano. So basically, just for computer use. On cubase I know you can apply different sounds to your keyboard, but can you only do that with a MIDI keyboard or also a...
Hi,
I just bought a new audio interface (Steinberg CI2) and there is no MIDI to plug keyboards into. I currently don't have a keyboard, but I was planning to buy one for music production. Is there any way of plugging a keyboard in then, if theres no MIDI?
I mean, what does a MIDI interface do...
I was going to buy the Behringer XENYX 1002B.
Is it any good? I am a newbie to recording, so would it be a good solution?
I am going to have 2-5 microphones overall (guitars, singing, drums)
Thanks.
Katie
Thanks
Thank you for the replies!
One more question:
Will the mixer shown be good to record singing and guitar, and then adding in drums after and maybe more singing for the harmonies?
Thanks! :D
Hi,
Once you have an audio interface (look at the M-Audio Fast Track or the Edirol UA-25), then you should plug in your digital piano to the audio interface, not your computer. To do this you can use midi to midi cables, because the audio interface should usually have a midi input on the back...
Hi,
I have a Behringer UCA-222 and I need to hook it up to a Behringer mixer (Behringer XENYX 1002B).
Please can you tell me what cables I need and how to plug them together etc?
