    GeneralMidi *2* Cakewalk IDFs

There is no IDF download at the Cakewalk site for GM2, and for some reason, even though the GM patches are in my synth, the IDFs (Instrument Definition Files) for my synth only contain the GM1 patches. Darghhh!! I really want the 'String Slap' patch (GM2: 218). Does anybody have any...

Buying Audiophile 2496 from within Australia

I'm keen on getting the Audiophile2496 - but computer places here in Brisbane claim not to have even heard of it. Do any of you guys from Sydney or elsewhere in Oz know of a retailer that would ship this non-Creative (gasp) card? Maybe Sydney has more specialised recording retailers?

I just got a Roland XV-88 weighted synth. I use a USB midi cable to route MIDI out of the synth, thru the PC for sequencing (CakewalkPro9), then back into the synth, which i listen to the output from. I've posted this questions elsewhere but i think i phrased it wrong or something. At its...

    MIDI to mp3....Beyond General MIDI??

I recently got a roland XV weighted synth, which comprises a keyboard controller and a sound generator, but no sequencer. So I connect the synth to my fairly decent PC with a Roland UM-1 MIDI USB cable (no im not here to advertise roland!). I use Cakewalk Pro Audio to sequence, using the amazing...
