Mike B, are you sure the "mic/line" switch is on the rear of the mbox mini?

After turning on phantom power & choosing analog input 1, I'm still not getting a signal. Tried the mic with a friend's fast track pro, works perfectly.

Has any1 had this same problem? The mbox plays all audio in all my daws & on tthe computer, but when it comes to recording mic input, it doesn't pick up any signal. If any2 has experience with this issue, pleaase kindly help me urgently.

yes it clips sometimes. i try to turn the gain on the interface down, but i can't control the artiste's volume is that part of the problem?

damn! and i was initially going to get a dynamic mic (which would've been cheaper) so there's no way to fix this? how about placing in the center of the room?

personally, i'll say no it is not a good DAW for recording & i'm sure other users are with me on this. i'll suggest you search for another 1 for recording e.g cubase, sonar, pro-tools, reaper (which i use :D) just to mention a few. you can try any of them out & take your pick

& by "compression". i mean compressing the beat as a whole

been using fl studio for a while now...think i have mastered the basics. but i want to know the correct proceedure for mixing down beats in fl. should the final mixdown peak at -3db or 0db? & should compression be added if the beat is being exported for recording in another DAW e.g "reaper"...

i'm using reaper because i cannot record with FL, only make beats and record externally then work everything in FL, hence the rewire. if there's a way i can record with FL much better.

i managed to get through the rewiring stage. but when i'm working on a project in FL and i hit the record button in reaper it doesn't work. can anyone help me out?
