    Neon in cubase

I'm having problems operating Neon within cubase. I've created a sequence and this plays fine through my Roland guitar synth or Alesis drum machine. Neon does nothing though. I can't find where to assign the midi channels within Neon either, and the help menu didn't provided me with much info...

    What are sweepable mids?

I read a forum on this site recently and the discussion involved sweepable mids. Can anyone tell me what they are and what they look like? Also , do any plug ins incorporate them? Thanks.

I need some info on Cubase. Never used it before. Please Help!

I pretty much agree with JimH. I bought my cubase with a gina card before the digi 001 came out. I would probably have opted for this one. You can later upgrade all the way up to the full blown pro tools suite. ie with hardware and software ... Or so they say. The plug ins that come with digi...

    Cubase VST Plug-ins

I'm not too sure either but I'm pretty sure you should be okay. I've heard windows 2000 is more reliable for cubase than NT. The plug ins should all work within cubase. I think.

    Gina Help

I'm not sure but in a word yes. Just go mains out and into your gina. That's what I do. And yes you can single out your kick drum BUT cause you only have 2 inputs on the gina it means that one of these will be the kick drum (as you desired) and the rest of your drum kit will have to be on the...

    learning cubase vst 24

Cubase vst score 3.6 is the only package I've ever used and I learnt it quite easily. 1 word of warning. The package I got had books for the midi information and acrobat computer files for the audio wave side of things. I printed out theses files and it turned out to be 3 large books worth. A...

    is 24 bit worth it?

I have a gina which supports 24 bit and I'm considering upgrading my cubase vst score to cubase 24. Is it worth it though, especially when considering that when it comes to burning the cd that it all gets converted back to 44khz/16bit ? I'm wondering if it works as the film to video transition...

Using CD - Rewritables as a backup medium

I am considering buying a Ricoh CD Rewriter, to backup my material. The Iomega Zipp drives I am sure will be too small and the Jazz drives are too expensive. I use Cubase and most songs would combine midi and soundwave data. (Note: I don't mean the recordable CDs, cause these write only once and...

How to get the "Great wall of distortion"

Firstly, try this on eq: cranking the bass a good bit, cranking the highs a little bit, and pulling back the mids. By varying the amount on each you can get great results. Another trick which I found was great for creating that wall of sound without making it too obvious that there were lots of...

    POD vs J-Amplification

The POD has been getting great reviews, that's for sure, but has anyone heard how good the new Johnson J-Amplification is? In Australia they are priced the same. One advantage of the J-Amp is that it has BASS amp sims as well, and also acoustic simulation. The key thing is: How good are the...
