As i understand it, you can upgrade the breakout box in the future, to add a couple of extra ins and have pres on them.
If i was using an analog mixer to mix down to 4 subgroups, i wouldnt actually need the pres then, would i?

Mbox comes with pro tools lite if im not mistaken.
and the mbox has had some issues with power and networking, particularly in laptops.
I dont know about the duo, might have the same issues i dunno never used it.
mm, im liking the look and sound of the evolution mics... i doubt ill be able to "borrow" all the ones i would like, but ill try a couple out.. buut knowing Sennheiser they will be massivley expensive and the parts/spares will be very, very overpriced.

If thats the album i think it is, its great fun for people with an interest in audio. i.e. backwards things, sped up things, "digital noise" which is actually just weird freq sweeps and stuff. Hours of fun in Cool Edit or somthing :)
