Yup I use it for all my mixing. I record on a zoom r24 then transfer the waves to acid for mixing and effects. Works good for what I do Guy

If you are sure this is coming from outside why not conceal a recording device in the most likely place the sound would be coming from, hallway,sidewalk,entrance etc. to try and get a clearer recording

Ya and also you can just rename the wave files to anything that makes sense instead of the number that zoom gives it
