Hopefully soneone will listen to this!!

I got real player to work and listened to "Posthumously Disenchanted". No way I'm gonna comment on the mix with what I'm listening on, but the whole thing sounded a little funny. It sounded like the hi fi feed keeps coming in and out during the song which has been happening a lot to me on garage...

simple question...does Christian music scare off listeners here?

My theory lives My theory lives on. I always say, no matter what message board you're on, strike up a conversation about God, Christians or religion, and watch how many responses you get. Just to add a few things to my 1st response to this thread. I will say that in a lot of the Christian...

I need some ears on this one

Chris, thanks for all of the input. I will be remixing so, your comments will be helpful. "idiot-with-his-bass and treble-all-the-way-up test" --lol. I usually keep mine around 75%, in my car, hope I don't fall into that catagory. As a matter of fact, that's where I cross check my mixes(in my...

    Taste of some Mississippi blues

David I totally missed this post. Don't know how. I listened to the song. I agree that the crash is a little hot, but other than that, the drums sound pretty good. I'd like to hear a little warmer eq on the bass guitar. That's about the only critique I can come up with, the song itself...

I need some ears on this one

I put a tune up on my page a while back and the mix was really bright. It was from my first mixes and my frame of reference was way off. I don't plan to regurgitate all of my new mixes of old tunes on this board but, I need help on this one. I'm wondering if I added too much low end to the...

    my podded walls . . .

bball, Nice tune dude. I haven't heard your stuff in a while. You have a nice voice. The harmony sounded really good, and that little transition around 1:05 with the keyboard was really cool. There's a lot to like about this song, it had a nice bridge and you came out of it nicely with the...

check this one - Fall Into Memphis

Long song. Sounded good on my crappy system though, which is a pretty good acid test. Are those some kind of strings in the back. Sounds good whatever it was. I thought the song was a little long but didn't find the legnth of it that disturbing although 6 minutes would have probably been...

Using your expensive studiomonitors for general multimedia

On the contrary, it's probably very helpful to listen to as much music as you can on your studio monitors. It'll help with your frame of reference when mixing down.

Here's a link to your site. People are more likely to listen if you include this. http://artists.mp3s.com/artists/116/ruebarb_the_tangled.html you're welcome. I'll listen a little later, I spent my available time searching for your page. Just joking, people forget to post their links all...

simple question...does Christian music scare off listeners here?

Not in my case. There's some Christian music that I love and some that I hate, pretty much like everything else. I reviewed a few of your tunes a few months ago if I'm not mistaken. If I remember correctly, I liked them. Ray J

R&B with emphasis on the B!

Not bad. Sounded almost adult contemp at times. I thought the strings were ok. THe background vocals and lead vocals were real good for most of the song. There were a few spots that bothered me with the vocals. Don't remember exactly where they were. Good track though Ray J

Cultural shock? A little slice of south Louisiana

drstawl Thanks, the accordian is an old one that was given to me. This song was supposed to be ready for Mardi Gras 2001 but the accordian feel apart a few times while cutting the song. I'll re release it next year for Mardi Gras. Ray J

Cultural shock? A little slice of south Louisiana

Thanks for the big compliment slim. The song's doing great on the Zydeco charts. It's been sitting at #1 most of this and last week on mp3.com. Zydeco is a small genre though so, it's sorta like being the #1 ice skater in Nicaragua. The proverbial big fish in a small pond. Thanks Ray J
