Will those traps enhance the quality of the recording? I am not 100% looking to mix... I am mostly looking to have a decent recording room.

Is it the same thing as the Broadband Absorber? And I simply shape them into triangles to fit the corners of my room? Secondly, do they need to be from the floor to the ceiling? While were at it, what do I put on the ceiling? Should I hang a blanket? My ceilings are in cement. Thanks!

It's always different. Sometimes you'll write lyrics first... then the music will serve the lyrics. Sometimes it's the opposite, you'll write a cool guitar lick and will want to sing over it. There are truly no better ways.

And let's not forget about the importance of the introduction and the conclusion.

How much of a difference will it make solely based on the recording factor? I am not looking to mix my stuff.

I don't know how to post a sketch or a drawing. My room is a big rectangle. Looking at it vertically, I have a big window at the bottom right corner. The window doesn't do the whole side, it takes about 1/3 of the wall.

I've got a side of my room that has huge window. How does that affect the acoustics of my room? Should I simply lay a curtain in front of it? Any better options?

Hopefully I can help a bit... I have a RME Fireface UFX interface (2000$) and a Neumann TLM 103 (650$ used on ebay) and it does all the job I need so far. I have no room treatment either...

Hey everybody, I've been really concerned lately about my room where I record. There is nothing on walls, there is a running computer in the room. When I sing really really loud, I hear my walls resonate, although I don't hear it on my recordings... do you? My concern has been coming from...

Very nice! I would comment on the piano. A touch too loud? Is it all quantized? I like it when you can hear different intensities (velocities) on different notes.

1- My vocals always sound too present, how do you approach mixing vocals? (Please don't tell me to turn everything else up.... they just sound like they pop out) 2- Blending backing vocals, how do you blend? Do you compare it with the lead vocals or the instruments? I mix really well...

Funny thing... I do that and all my mix it sounds like the vocals are too present... Should de-pan some instruments?
