How do I reverse phase a microphone if I have no reverse phase switch?

Make very short cable (like 10cm) and wire it out of phase. Now when you need phase reversal you just add that it into the chain. Voila! Instant phase reverse. This way you don't have to change the cable when you have already positioned the mic but need phase reversal. Keijo

    Recording Guitar

Plugging your speaker output to your scard input is a great way of blowing things up :). Is the input in the scards mixer application at full level, are the wires you are using ok? Keijo

Rules for making your own commercial?

I send the stuff I do to them as a .mp3. I wouldn't worry about compressing the radio will do it themselves, they compress the shit out of everything. Usually the clips are about 30 sec. this is the limit when the higher rates start. Well this is how it's here anyway, Keijo

    Another song

Well it's a pretty good for if it is meant as a rehearsal demo type of thing. But if it's meant as a recording..... you have some work to do. Some ideas (these go for the first song aswell): 1. If you want to do a recording like this where everything is played at the same time the band should...

One more thing. About the vocals. You have 2 vocalists, right? Are they both done with a SM58? The second vocalist doesn't sound like a SM58 IMO :). Keijo

Listening to thier own vocals or beats?

Ususally they listen to a rough mix (or a special headphone mix) of the music and their vocals (which you can adjust separately from the rest of the mix). Abut the processed vocals: It depends, some vocalists (especially the ones who want to sing very very cleanly) want to hear their vocals dry...

    Please check this song

IMO the bass is too loud. And the mix is all in the center again. You have so many instruments. USE PANNING. And the sound really doesn't suit the song. The bass player should try to find a more original sound. And there is a lot of noodling going on with all the instruments. You have to be more...
