Well it's a pretty good for if it is meant as a rehearsal demo type of thing. But if it's meant as a recording..... you have some work to do.
Some ideas (these go for the first song aswell):
1. If you want to do a recording like this where everything is played at the same time the band should really know how to make their instruments sound good. Your band is not in that stage yet :).
2.You should have overdubbed most of the stuff so you would have had more control over the sound they are going on tape. (On some parts the vocalists sound like they don't know what they should do and they are making things up right on the spot) And you have 8 channels for it.
And you could have used the mics u used on vocals on the drum kit to get a more balanced sound out of it.
3. The really dynamic instruments (bass, vocals) need a compression (especially the bass). They are going from quiet to very loud so the mix sounds jumpy. And on some parts bass is the only thing I hear.
4. Everything is panned center. All instruments are fighting each other for the space in the mix.
5. The best sounding thing in the mix is the vocals with the SM58 :). You should have overdubbed the vocals using the SM58 on both vocals ond not have them sing with the band.

IMO anyway,
Keijo

Angelfire canned you

I tried to go to your link so I could listen to your song. It said that the page had been removed because it violated angelfire's terms of something or other. Would still like to hear what you have to offer, Silver
