how easy is it to sell stuff on ebay?

Selling stuff on ebay is a breeze, definitely quote fixed shipping charges. For small items USPS have flat rate envelopes which are a great inexpenzive way to send stuff worldwide. Be aware of the charges though, I have sold a lot of items in the last month and it averages out just under 10% of...

    Samson Mic ... USB POWERED.

I should have quoted your earlier post - theres no reason you couldn't have, pad, phase reverse, gain all controlled over USB.

    Samson Mic ... USB POWERED.

There are a lot of ways that the gain could be adjusted, a no brainer would be to add a digital potentiometer.

    Samson Mic ... USB POWERED.

I don't find anything wrong with the theory, it allows you to eliminate a hell of a lot of circuitry which could be a great thing if done correctly. The real difficulty would be keeping digital and switching noise out of the analog sections. Theory aside though, its a samson and I've never...

    newb :( preamps?

Don't buy anything behringer, most of it is crap and the resale is terrible. I don't think you'll ever regret picking up a DMP3

    Recording vocals please help fast

If this isn't a joke and I think it must be:- do you honestly think that a small portable unit is going to give better results than a computer with a half decent soundcard? For ultra cheap setup: http://www.zzounds.com/a--2676837/item--BEHUB802 +...

M Audio dmp3 or presonus digitube...

Definitely the DMP3 - you can't get enough gain on the presonus without turning up the tube gain which most of the time is not what you want. I have a tube pre on my desk for repair at the moment and am not impressed with the design - not much thought in there at all except the cost factor.

Yeah it is expensive but its rubber and very durable, the clear plastic version is even more expensive and fragile. You could get a universal shockmount cheaper: http://www.tensimount.com/ http://www.shockmount.com Or search google for DIY shockmount ;) Good luck Edit: Heres the general...

    Opinions

If the beta 58 is only $40 more you paid way too much for that mic. I picked up two AMT41A brand new in the box shipped from US to Ireland for $80 on ebay. They are readily available on ebay new for $40. I think that they are an end of life product hence the low prices. It is a decent mic but...

Using mic pre that, in turn, goes through onboard pre of DAW...pointless?

Most cheap preamps suck in proportion to their gain if you keep the gain on the internal pre low and use an external pre it can sometimes produce much more satisfactory results.

I Need A Power Supply For An Oktava MKL-2500?!?

:) Marik, you are a fountain of knowledge! Hey Jon, try to draw a schematic of your mic if you can or take some *detailed* digital photographs and notes of the innards and we could maybe draw one for you. This kind of info is usually hard to come by and could be very helpful for others :)
