Save your money. If you don't know enough about the two mics to be able to make a purchasing decision on your own, I don't think you're ready for a microphone of such expense. Do you know how many Shure SM57s, Marshall V67s, 603s's, C3s, MD421 MKII's, etc. you could buy with that money? Isaiah

I think I messed up... I should have known better than to download a cheap MP3 encoder...it appears that it only encoded half of the darn song. (it's supposed to be over 5 minutes long) I used kind of a random and unconventional miking technique for the piano, but it seemed to work alright...

This morning I helped a flutist friend record a demo tape (in hoping that she can get some kind of college scholarship)... I used two cheap optimus (radio shack) condenser mics on the piano, and an AT3525 on the flute. I added a touch of reverb from my Behringer Virtualizer Pro. Have a listen...

The 3525 isn't a large diaphragm mic, but I still like the way it sounds for the most part. (anything I dislike about this mic may just be because of my poor preamps)...I would take a 3525 over a 3035....it's a better value in my opinion. Isaiah

I prefer stereo miking, but if you only have one mike, there's a fun way to get a nice sound. Use a PZM mic, and pickups, then pan them opposite eachother. It sounds real warm. (and fuzzy!) Isaiah
