I bought a good condition 234 (being shipped atm) , and i have two old peavey mixers. (600s mk1, md bii). Im not sure wether it'll be enough to start recording with? I mean im pretty sure the mixers dont have pre's but not sure bout the 234 . Do i need to buy a seperate pre- unit? Thanks !

well, i got this old piece from my dad: seems like it does have tape ins/tape out in the back. i wanna connect it to my AKAI MG614 tape recorder, and to use it while recording. so i guess it goes somewhere here: im not sure if its even possible? thank you random noob.
