    1.5 Hours "Sunset Strip"

good tune, i'd like to hear this one outside the contest.... there's something about the guitars... great riffs, but the sound should be different... like, not so fuzzy.. it's not even really a problem... just something to say in a review, you know. other than that, it's cool.

Dead Flowers in an hour and a half

this is definitely good, especially for being rushed. the lead guitar is the strong point for sure... the vocals come across as being in the spirit of having a good time... not bad, but not note for note perfect either... tis a good thing. are those real drums? i hear a lot of sticks clicking...

Ramones cover... finished? let me know

the guitar i used is a seven string dean avalanche, running through a crate combo... low gain distortion... the distortion that the amp has built into it... no effects at all other than distortion and now that i think about it, i don't think i did anything to either of the raw guitar tracks as...

Ramones cover... finished? let me know

i think i'm gonna do a bunch of these songs, just till i get my "studio" set up and i can get serious about it

It ain't worthy but it was a challange

nice percussion, guitars are a little heavy on the lows, but i'm probably just imagining things, definitely great for 1.5 hours... i would say the reverb is a little overpowering on the lead, but it lends to the creepy surreal feel behind everything, so i would say it works well... keys aren't...

    1.5 jammie

very nice, i think.. hard to say since the my normal choice of music is a little more standardized.. i really don't know what to make of it... it's very beautiful at times... and very scary at times... though i didn't see any ants or anything... good mixing, i think... i guess with this sort of...

    1.5 four track fun

another great tune, man... i'm becoming a fan. this doesn't come across to me as rushed... it's got a "live" feel to it, sure... very organic... i like the doubled (tripled?) vocals towards the end... something about that reminds me of elton john... and that's not a bad thing.

Ramones cover... finished? let me know

i don't understand... should i have not posted today? bump?

    1.5 Blues!

it sounds really great, man... like something off the radio.. admittedly not any station i'd be listening to, but definitely professional... is this all just you? this is the kind of thing that inspires me to push even harder with my own recording. THIS is exactly the sort of thing that has been...

    critique a new song?

i'm hearing this as the last song on a CD full of big epic rock songs... if i heard this song and had to guess what kind of music the rest of disc is... i would guess something like candlebox or pearl jam, but that's only because that's the only place you would hear a voice like that in today's...

a work in progress, how am i doing (part 2)

thanks for the tips... general opinion is the vocal effects are too much... actually this is just two of me singing the same thing, eached one panned 10% to one side... i was a little concerned about that myself, so i think i may center both of them, and drop the volume on one of them, to keep...

a work in progress, how am i doing (part 2)

well, i got some vocals into it now... i think as far as tracks i have everything i need... the original version of the song has some kind of bells in it, but i'm not sure if i wanna go that far to stay true to the original.... well, give it a listen and let me know what you think...

    Creed, You Suck

i really like this song, not really because of what their saying about creed, but just.. what they're doing... it's cool, they could have said a million different things, they just happened to land on creed. musically, it's awesome, these guys know what they're doing. i would buy their album. i...

a work in progress, how am i doing?

just playing around with my own version of an old ramones tune, "I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend" this is the most stripped down i've ever been as far as music... two guitar tracks, a bass track, and a drum track.... but then i'm trying to keep it relatively true to the original. not really much to...

    cover song

thanks for the comments... compression and bass have always been a problem for me. part of me wants to make a good typical rock song, but part of me wants to be able to run alongside the pop type music out there, with the big thumping bass-drums... when i start my re-recording of all my old...

James Brown - I feel good

this is fuckin' awesome dude. but i'm a sucker this kind of thing. the only thing throughout the whole thing i would've changed would be the chorus on the vocals... i think this version just cries out for distortion on the vocals. and even that really isn't a big deal (my best friend is always...

    cover of imagine?

i really liked this a lot, but not so much because of the song but more because of your voice... i really love your tone, man. i wish i had that kind of voice. you have all your notes dead on plus you definitely have your own voice... you come across as a singer and not just some guy singing...
